    It’s fall!

    Saturday, October 27th, 2012

I don’t particularly love the season of fall. Or the rain. Which can make living in the Pac Northwest a bit, um, challenging.

The alternative title to this post shall be, if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em. :)

    Seniors + Twins + Fall. = Awesome

I went to college with their mom. 20 years ago. (how could it possibly be that long??) Now I have the privilege of shooting their senior portraits. The first time we tried it was POURING down rain. They were such good sports, but we didn’t get much to work with. We tried again a week later and got lucky with a break in the rain. These kids are just so incredibly nice, genuine and real. Just like their mom.

Here are some from the first day:

Yes, I made them jump. In the middle of a road. In the rain.

These are from our reshoot day. Much better light!

    Seattle photowalk

    Wednesday, October 10th, 2012

For those of you who have never had the chance to do a photowalk – I highly recommend it! Even if you don’t consider yourself a photographer, it does give you the opportunity to see your city (or a small piece of your city), maybe in a different way. And you get to meet new people. And maybe, hang out with people like me. :)

I had the opportunity to lead a photowalk for ClickinMoms a few weeks ago. We walked a section of the Capitol Hill neighborhood, starting at the Asian Art Museum and ending up on Broadway (with lunch at the famous DeLuxe!)

Here are some images from the walk. Note that the last few of these images were taken with my iPhone. You don’t need a fancy camera to capture interesting things!
